Interschool Project: How can we best use data to help us understand the progress within SDG 4&5 for education of the global girl?

This is the lesson plan for my interschool project with St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. The students from St. Ursula's served as the content experts and informed the tech experts in my programming class. The goal was to crate a product to inform people about a UN Sustainable Development Goal. Though I wish I had more time to devote to the project, the lesson was a success, and both schools enjoyed the collaboration. Here are some of the results:

Project-Based Unit Plan and Sample Lesson: Navigating Global Challenges: Interactive Python Storytelling

In my Programming 2 course, module three introduces the random module, iterative loops and nested statements. As it is originally written, the culminating program is an adventure, role-playing game type program. I have globalized this unit by switching the focus from adventure game to a narrative story-telling game that includes choices someone would have to make facing a global issue chosen by the student. Examples include migrants and refugees, global warming, or world hunger.
